- Actually, I got married with help from match.com. Back then I thought it was a long shot and kinda crappy but the matches turned out pretty okay. I guess the bull**** still happens but its just part and parcel of what these sites are. You ought to communicate if you have not already with the would be party before meeting up anyway cause its better to find out what's the other person like online first, then over the telephone and finally face to face. I still remember my wife telling me that if she actually knew me first in real life, she would not actually want to know me. She related to me that I was very different personally and publicly. I guess I got lucky. Prior to that I had blind dates from the website and I never met any site BS before so I guess I am lucky. Anyhow, if you are single and luckless in love, by all means. Physicalities and how we look is important for many other to accept you socially and even more so online. So its not really true that ladies or men have it easier when they get online.
